Indiana University Main Campus
First and foremost, Bloomington is one of the best college towns in the country with Indiana University at the heart of it all. IU offers amenities that Bloomingtonians (not just people affiliated with IU) can enjoy, such as musical performances, sporting events (Go Hoosiers!), and a university event calendar with many events open to the public. The IU Auditorium, Assembly Hall (basketball), Memorial Stadium (football), Indiana Memorial Union, and the gorgeous campus are some of the many IU highlights.
Holidays and Celebrations
The various holidays during the year are a great way to see what your community has to offer, and Bloomington does not disappoint! From Thanksgiving through New Year’s (and beyond), Bloomington lights up downtown at The Square, which is accompanied by a lighting ceremony event. For July 4th, there is a community parade (which Griffin Realty has regularly participated in before!) and opportunities to view fireworks. And for the kids, many neighborhoods are great for trick or treating during Halloween!
The Outdoors
When you live in Bloomington, you also have the luxury of being less than 20 minutes away from Lake Monroe, a popular destination for camping, fishing, sailing, pontoon boating, and many other water activities.
